I am skilled, knowledgeable, and have years of experience delivering spiritual and religious counseling to Christians and a variety of clients from other spiritual, religious groups, or perspectives, such as Jewish, Muslim, and Hindus, etc. Having taught world religions at the college level, I am comfortable with and have a diverse understanding of spirituality and religious thoughts within reasonable limits.

I am an Ordained Minister in the Christian tradition and a Licensed Psychoanalyst. I will not dismiss your spiritual life, and at the same time will provide sound psychotherapeutic support. At a time when Christianity is often attacked, it is difficult to find a place where individual and family conflicts can be worked through in counseling that is supportive of Christian beliefs. I was raised as a Christian and can understand and empathize with those who practice a Christian way of life, as well as a conservative view of life. I also understand how at times religious beliefs can come into conflict with personal strivings and need to be resolved. Mental health comes when one's religious beliefs and one's life are in harmony and one can live free of anxiety and doubt.

Faith and spirituality can provide comfort and meaning to those guided by their beliefs. I was raised in a Christian household myself so I have an appreciation for the values instilled by religion, the importance of tradition, and the strength of community. My approach to counseling is humanistic and welcoming of all spiritualities. Though I do not incorporate any specific pastoral counsel, I encourage my spiritual clients to draw on their beliefs during the counseling process.

Counseling is a way to look at who we are. Spirituality is a big part of the human experience. It is my belief that within each of us is a beautiful soul. Some of us allow god to be a big part of our lives, while others question the concept of souls, god and spirituality. Wherever you may stand, you may still identify with a deeper part of yourself. You may call it whatever feels right for you. I would like to help bring that energy into the room (if it feels right for you) to help you heal, from accessing a wholesome, powerful, deep source within you.

For many of us, growth in other areas of our life cannot be achieved without processing it through a Biblical lens. Audrey believes in helping Christians that would rather not work directly with a pastor/priest, but wishes to infuse their core belief systems into processes and exploring their long term goals and mental health concerns. Religious principles can sometimes lead to heightened feelings of shame and guilt. With Audrey, you can process your clinical concerns as a believer without concerns of being perceives as a "sinner".
