When you are thrown with life challenges, heartaches, or having a tough times, it can bring overwhelming feelings of uncertainity how to cope or manage.  Trying to be positive, trying to be strong for others, and trying to forget the old hurts do get tiresome.  No one have to go through it alone.

Susan is professional, down to earth and easy to talk to.  What Susan notices in the safe therapeutic space with her clients is her body-mind is wholehearted present and focused.  Susan listens, guides, and encourages alongside as you make transition from old to new ways of living.  It can be defining moment of your life in telling the truth of your experiences and accepting powerful support while healing relationships with yourself and other people you care about.

Together in counselling, you begin to bring out your brilliance, what is truly wanted and confidence to make differences in your life.  New possibilities are generated.

Susan has a Master Degree in Social Work and is a Registered Social Worker with the BC College of Social Workers.  Susan uses evidence-based therapy techniques that clients have successfully created lasting change.  Susan's approaches often draw from Client-Centred Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Expressive-Art Therapy and Grief Recovery Methods.  Susan is also proficient in American Sign Language.

Over the last 12 years, Susan has worked with individuals, families, professionals and groups from diverse backgrounds and with a wide array of issues in mental health.  Susan is continuously inspired by the courageous people's resorted hopes - individuals learning to cope with loss, parents dealing with a child of disability or chronic illness, adolescent girls and women recovering from low self-esteem and body image, and adults facing childhood abuses and their family members as they face intergenerational traumas.

Adults, children and youths of all walks of life are welcome.  It is an honour to encourage, support and foster hope in your healing journey and wellness.
