We are glad you are interested in blogging with us. This means great exposure for you, not only through our blog but through our social media platforms. We have millions of visitors a year and creating blog content is a great way to market yourself. Therapists are free to post to the blog at theravive.com as they wish, but we ask that you abide by a few simple rules.
- No Duplicate Content:
- Blog entries must not be duplicated from elsewhere on the internet. This is very important to us. If you post an article on our blog, it must be original to the internet, and not found on any other website. Duplicate content can harm our website in search engines, so this policy will be enforced. If you do have a blog post already on another website that you want on Theravive.com you must first delete that blog on all other websites and wait a minimum of 90 days before posting it on our site. We do not permit duplicate content on our blog, and will immediately delete any blog found to have been posted on our site that is a copy of another article elsewhere.
- Once you post a blog entry on Theravive, you agree that it will remain unique to Theravive.com for at least 90 days. After 90 days of Theravive having the only copy of your blog entry on the internet, you are then free to copy it elsewhere on the internet. We don't mind if you take your Theravive blog article and copy it somewhere else (after 90 days), because in this case we had the first, original copy. What we do not want is having the duplicate copy. We hope this makes sense. Please contact us if you need further clarification.
- Blog entries should be a minimum of 1500 words, preferrably at least 2000. . There is no maximum length, feel free to post as much as you want, as much as needs to be said.
- Blog entries should be topically related to health, wellness, mental health, spiritual health, counseling, the “world” of being a therapist, etc. Anything relevant to health and the profession of mental health is great. Posting about political candidates or computer programming is not so great.
- Please do not upload large photographs (i.e. photos that are right off a digital camera, which can be several megabytes in size). If you use photos, resize them before uploading them. We definitely encourage the use of photos, but use please use photos that are of reasonable size. A very large photo that takes up the screen can distort the blog page and will take a long time for visitors to download.
- Please do not post blog entries that directly contradict our values statement. There is a lot of leeway here, and we welcome and encourage many points of view, but if what you post directly advocates against the values of Theravive, we will ask you to change your post or remove it.
- Please limit outgoing links in any single blog entry to one. You are free to post a link in your blog entry to another website, but only one per article.
- Please remember that all content you post on our blog becomes part of Theravive and may be used in promotionals, advertisements, etc as we see fit (We frequently tweet or post via facebook blog entries that therapists make).
- You are responsible for your content and agree that it is yours and that you are not violating any laws by posting it.
- Have fun blogging!
