I am a Professional Psychologist specializing in the treatment of trauma, depression, grief, and adjustment, as well as Psychological Testing and Assessment, amongst others. My approach is Psychodynamically/Psychoanalytical oriented, with the expansion into other areas, such as ACT, CBT, art therapy, where needed and appropriate. I became a psychologist to broaden my knowledge of the therapeutic process. My doctoral schooling exposed me to theories of personality and psychotherapy not covered in earlier training. As a psychologist, I have had extensive training treating individuals and couples who present with a variety of presenting problems and diagnoses. I have treated people in an inpatient and outpatient hospital setting who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, dementia and have been hospitalized with suicide attempts.
