I became a psychologist to broaden my knowledge of the therapeutic process. My doctoral schooling exposed me to theories of personality and psychotherapy not covered in earlier training. This experience afforded me the opportunity to focus on therapies which are characterized by a close working relationship between client and therapist. I came to see that it is the relationship that heals and that by exploring interactions in the therapeutic relationship as well as looking at present day and historical feelings and thoughts, insight and clarity of mind result, enabling lasting change to be achieved. As a Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Sobo evaluates and treats patients with presenting problems such as Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Panic Disorder. Referral to a medial doctor can be made if necessary. Dr. Sobo’s interests have broadened to include the treatment of patients with chronic conditions, such as Autoimmune Disorders and Chronic Pain and living problems due to Disabilities.
