Everyone experiences anxiety or stress in some from or another at some point in their lifetimes. But with those who suffer severely from them, anxiety and stress can make it very difficult to make it through a normal day. When working with clients who suffer from anxiety and stress my goal is to teach them a variety of ways cope. In my sessions I teach easy techniques that can be used in a pinch, to more in depth anxiety and stress reductions techniques. My goal is for my clients to feel like they are not alone I their suffering and that anxiety and stress can get better with work.

We are not born with anxiety. Anxiety and stress are a learned way to cope with difficult situations, and they actually do not help the situation, they just make it worse. Medication treats the symptoms, and can be helpful, but it does not heal anything. I want to work with you to help discover what is the reason you react this way and others don't. We can explore how you learned this, and discover if there is indeed a better coping mechanism available to you.
