The county's Crisis Center is open 24-hours a day, 7-days a week and is available for anyone in Macomb County. The center's programs benefit people who are struggling with depression, psychosis, suicidal thoughts, and other serious behavioral health issues. All services are offered free of charge. The Autism Society of Macomb/St. Clair seeks to support individuals impacted by autism as well as their families. A primary function of the organization is to raise awareness about the disorder to reduce stigma that often surrounds it. Current Initiatives

The Supported Employment Initiative is a program implemented by Detroit Central City Community Mental Health. The purpose of the initiative is to identify employment opportunities for individuals who have a severe and persistent mental illness. Those who are capable of work can receive assistance with interview skills, resume writing, and other job-related needs. The initiative also works to raise awareness about mental illness among local employers so they understand how to effectively work with someone who is mentally ill.
