This is a 12 week program where we develop what career you want and what you need to do to get there. It is goal oriented where you will be coached in gaining clarity and taking action.

Our chosen professions impact every aspect of our lives. Our qualified career counselors provide counseling to traditional aged students who are unsure about what direction to take in their career goals or who are excited about their new chosen careers. We assist adults who have experienced downsizing, been fired, are laid off, are underemployed, or are reaching retirement. We guide those who are generally unhappy with their career paths. Career dissatisfaction can lead to depression, anxiety, and decreased self-worth. Our experienced counselors assist people to have a more enjoyable, richer, fulfilling work lives. When i work with adolescents I offer career counseling to aid in their areas of study. There are various inventories that i can administer which indicate occupations most suited for your child's personality and aptitudes. Some show which professions attract people most like your child. Some show areas of competence in your child that will be valued in certain professions.

A career is often a major part of one's life, and finding a disconnect between what you do and your values or interests can be destabilizing and painful. I offer in depth discussions on values, interests, work/life balance goals, and lifestyle goals in order to find a career that aligns. All are unique and important components that need to be considered when determining a job switch or addition. It's a big life change and emotional support in therapy throughout the change is incredibly important as well.

Earning a living is a major part of our lives; ideally it should be fulfilling as well as providing for material needs. If you are unhappy in your work life, there are many approaches and choices that can radically improve it. Sometimes it is a matter of altering attitude and motivation so that you exude energy not resignation. Making a career change is more possible than most of us realize, I began my professional training as a therapist in my late 50's after working in technology for 35 years.
