I have a deep respect for children. I work from a basis of compassion and honoring each child for who they are. I offer play and art therapy. When I work with young children through child-centred play therapy, I provide in-person sessions right here in Peterborough, Ontario. My office is a safe, welcoming space where children can express themselves freely, explore their feelings, and build important emotional skills through play. Children benefit from my approach because I follow their lead, using toys, drawing, stories, and imaginative activities to help them communicate in ways that feel natural and comfortable. I focus on helping children develop emotional awareness, self-confidence, coping skills, and problem-solving.

We believe in providing a comfortable and safe setting for children to connect with the therapist using hands-on and play modalities. Once we have earned the child's trust, we can then assist the child with developing awareness of how their thoughts and feeling influence their actions. When doing therapy with young children, my primary goal is to first make them feel safe and comfortable. I use Play Therapy and Emotion Focused techniques to address concerns and help them regulate their emotions to be able to navigate significant changes in their lives. I find that it is helpful to collaborate with parents for a smoother transition of therapy tools into their lives at home.
