I am a Christian that counsels, utilizing prayer in my practice and personal life and using biblical information and knowledge to form our direction in the counselling room can be helpful in navigating life's difficulties on earth. I offer a client centered approach so our sessions are tailored to your individual needs, utilizing a variety of modalities including pastoral counselling, CBT, DBT, psychoanalytic, play therapy and the list goes on. I offer a safe space to navigate life's challenges without judgment or shame but rather through compassion, truth and love.

Using a Christian framework for counselling means that there is also another power at work, that of Spirit. Biblical principles are incorporated, and underlie the therapeutic process and interactions between therapist and client. I hold a Masters of Divinity in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University. I also spent over 20 years involved in various Christian Leadership roles. I do not practice or hold to this religion any longer. In my clinical work, I work with clients who are processing spiritual abuse/trauma and I regularly work with clients who are navigating deconstruction. I believe it is important to clarify, I am affirming and fully accepting of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. I consider myself an ally to this community. In my clinical work, I consider it an honour to work with members of this community who have been wounded by the Christian Church.

As a Christian, I greatly appreciate how faith and spirituality play a role in our daily lives. Yet God still calls us to be in the world and to experience many different aspects of human life, even things we think God could fix. Making sense of the differences between what we believe God wants and what we face daily can be distressing and lead to despair and depression.
