I love seeing couples move from a place of conflict and disharmony to a place of deep intimacy and respect for one another. With training in emotionally focused therapy, I approach couple therapy from an attachment perspective, exploring the nature of partner conflict (Identifying their negative cycle of communication), identifying the emotions that drive the negative cycle, and working with the couple to help them re-express those emotions needs in healthier ways.

We all long for connection. Many of us feel great in the times when a relationship is new and the connection is just developing. The problems come when we have to repair distance/rifts in that connection, or when we need to sustain and deepen our connection to our partners. Maybe we never learned how. Maybe we carry scars and trauma from past relationships. Maybe we have patterns in our histories that we never really dealt with. Maybe all of the above. Our work together will take all of that into account and in a non-judgmental environment, we will hold space for you both to learn how to repair, strengthen and maintain your most important relationships.

I specialize in working with couples in crisis because of a betrayal, trauma, PTSD, addictions, and ADHD. I am a registered gestalt therapist with somatic experiencing training out of California. If you or your partner's trauma is impacting your relationship I am here to support you both. Healing can happen. If you are unable to leave your home because of the lack of childcare available we can arrange sessions for you and your partner once the kids are all tucked in or during the weekends!
