We all long for connection. Many of us feel great in the times when a relationship is new and the connection is just developing. The problems come when we have to repair distance/rifts in that connection, or when we need to sustain and deepen our connection to our partners. Maybe we never learned how. I love seeing couples move from a place of conflict and disharmony to a place of deep intimacy and respect for one another. With training in emotionally focused therapy, I approach couple therapy from an attachment perspective, exploring the nature of partner conflict (Identifying their negative cycle of communication), identifying the emotions that drive the negative cycle, and working with the couple to help them re-express those emotions needs in healthier ways.

In couples therapy, I support partners in improving communication, rebuilding connection, and understanding relational patterns that contribute to conflict or distance. The focus is on creating safety in dialogue so each partner feels heard and understood. Couples are guided to move away from blame and toward shared understanding and repair. Many experience improved emotional intimacy, stronger communication skills, and a renewed sense of partnership, allowing the relationship to feel more connected, stable, and intentional.
