I offer supportive couples counseling to help partners improve communication, reduce conflict, and rebuild emotional connection. In a safe and neutral space, I guide couples to better understand each other’s needs and learn healthier ways of relating. Using the Gottman Method, Imago Relationship Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches, I help partners create greater trust, intimacy, and satisfaction in their relationship.

Couples therapy and counselling aim to create a compassionate and dedicated space where partners can explore negative dynamics that are hindering their relationship. From a humanistic perspective, the goal is to focus on understanding each partner’s unique experiences and feelings and how these show up in our relationships with others. When we acknowledge and begin to address key issues in the relationship, such as conflict, loss of intimacy or a diminished connection the goal is to help guide couples through a rediscovery of each other, one that works to foster empathy, encourage open dialogue, and create moments of reconnection and reconciliation. I use a mix of the Gottman Method and EFT

I love seeing couples move from a place of conflict and disharmony to a place of deep intimacy and respect for one another. With training in emotionally focused therapy, I approach couple therapy from an attachment perspective, exploring the nature of partner conflict (Identifying their negative cycle of communication), identifying the emotions that drive the negative cycle, and working with the couple to help them re-express those emotions needs in healthier ways.

Couple therapy is a broad term for those who wish to address relationship concerns or would like assistance in navigating their relationship. Presenting topics may include breaches of trust, infidelity, (co)parenting, sex and intimacy, separation, exploration of relationship structure or general conflict and arguments. Often times, at nobody’s fault, couples may get caught in patterns of interaction that bring a lot of pain to the relationship. I will assist you in identifying these harmful interactions and work towards breaking that cycle with new ways of relating to each other.
