Families can be created in a multiplicity of ways: we can be born into them; brought into them through adoption or other means; and sometimes their members consist of people who have a deep affinity for each other. In any form they take, "family" is synonymous with "in relationship," and these relationships must be nourished. In family counselling, I support families in building new communication pathways in order to process past injuries and strengthen connection. I specialize in pre-natal and postpartum family counselling.

Family relationships are complex and are oftentimes impacted by various events, life transitions, and societal shifts. I believe that every family is unique and that your efforts to navigate challenges are valid and purposeful. As a family therapist, my aim is to help you strengthen your relationships with one another and to support you in finding a balance between your individual and family needs.
