Depression counseling first starts with me providing a safe and supportive space for individuals to express their feelings and experiences without judgment. Clients will learn effective strategies and develop practical skills to manage their depressive symptoms. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), which help individuals identify and challenge negative thought patterns and beliefs. By replacing these negative thought patterns and beliefs with more realistic and positive thoughts and beliefs, clients can experience a significant reduction in depressive symptoms and improve their overall well-being. I utilize other techniques, such as mindfulness, (EFT), and relaxation exercises.

Relationship counseling and learning new ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving regarding marital conflict and intimacy deficits are a proven, effective way to overcome these types of depression. Many of my clients have learned to combine their existing pharmacotherapies with marital counseling--which is a particularly effective and empirically proven combination.
