My approach to individual psychotherapy comes out of my training and experience as a psychodynamic therapist. Psychotherapy focuses on inner conflicts and unconscious reactions as well as defenses that have built up in interpersonal relationships. My approach to psychotherapy is very relational. Most of our difficulties come about in the context of relationship, both early relationships and current relationships, and healing comes about in learning new ways of relating during the therapy hour.

I practice the healing approaches of Dr. Milton H. Erickson. This approach focuses on helping you access and develop resources to connect with and understand the patterns you want to change and the wounds you want to heal. I specialize in treating stress reactions, including PTSD, especially in emergency responders and combat veterans.
