I'm so happy you want to connect and begin or continue your healing journey.
A constantly chaotic and damaging world can leave many feeling shameful, angry and hopeless. Some may think they must go through life alone with the imprints of the past, which may leave them feeling overwhelmed, hyper-reactive, isolated, disconnected, and maybe with an interrupted sense of self. Perhaps you may feel constricted or weighted down by the feeling of wanting to belong, to be accepted. Or maybe you feel as if the world around you is telling you how to be, leaving you pretending to be someone you're not or with inaccurate identities. If you can relate, I'm pleased to see you taking the step of reaching out. I understand and respect that counselling can be a scary and uncomfortable experience for some.

I provide a safe, compassionate, unbiased, non-judgemental space for clients to feel heard, seen, and connected to. I am genuinely curious to find out who you are and what you need, rather than some diagnostic label telling you what you need or other harmful labels that reinforce negative stereotypes. I aim to acknowledge and eliminate harmful power dynamics and help folks uncover internalized messages that have wreaked havoc on their sense of self while integrating mind-body connection practices. In our work together, we can lead ourselves to further self-discovery, freedom, and empowerment while integrating mind-body practices.
About me & my approach: I hold a master’s degree in counselling psychology, which I completed at Adler University, and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor registered with BCACC. I am a cis-gender woman, middle class, currently non-disabled, straight-sized settler who lives with ADHD. As a person and practitioner, I acknowledge that I hold many privileges. However, understanding my privileges, as well as understanding my own experiences with oppression and marginalization, is a core reason I am a trauma-informed Feminist practitioner and activist. With this Feminist lens, I tend to lean into one of the most effective forms of trauma treatment, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), when working with clients. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. Through guided eye movements or bilateral stimulation, EMDR supports the nervous system in releasing stored trauma and reducing emotional intensity. Clients often find greater calm, clarity, and freedom from the patterns that once felt overwhelming.

I feel incredibly honoured to work with the broad spectrum of people looking to heal, grow, and thrive and to hear the unique stories and identities that each one brings into counselling. I am excited and eager to begin this journey together.
