Felicia has worked in the helping profession for many decades practicing as a nurse in the continents of Africa, Europe, and North America. Felicia became a registered psychotherapist (Q) because of the desire to be more effective to the population she is endeared to serve.

I will work with you in a manner that is uniquely honoring and important to you. I understand that seeking help can be very difficult, so I will recognize and validate your success, efforts as well as struggles throughout the therapeutic process. I am very authentic in my approach, and recognize that change can be slow but can ultimately happen with patience, commitment and perseverance to the therapeutic process.
Couple work: Felicia believes in the power of effective interpersonal communication in resolving interpersonal conflict. She believes that when the couple system thrives the family unit thrives, and the community will be a better place. Felicia uses emotionally focused therapy to restructure and rekindle emotional connection between couples. Felicia is a certified facilitator with Prepare and Enrich Canada with skills to conduct pre-marital and couple enrichment assessments.
Modalities: Felicia uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Family Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Education: Felicia completed her Master’s degree (M.Div.) in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University, Toronto. Felicia is Prepare & Enrich Canada Facilitator and has training in DBT skills.
Location: Felicia’s office is located at 105 Consumers Drive in Whitby.

OHIP does not cover therapy/counselling services. Please check with your individual extended benefits carrier to ensure that you have coverage for psychological services. Coverage is under "Registered Psychotherapist”. Payment is due before the start of each session and receipts are provided. You can pay via Visa or Mastercard and e-transfer.
