Working with couples is my passion. I first seek to understand the history of the relationship problem. Then move to create positive changes in the relationship. Creating a safe place to explore the often complex issues that arises for couples is primary to creating positive change. All issues are addressed including Communication, Intimacy, Sex, Companionship, Families of Origin, Parenting and Problem Solving.

My background in relational therapy allows me to understand individuals through the relationships they cohabit. Couple therapy may be a vehicle for growth to occur both relationally and individually. This in turn may assist in bringing you closer to your desired goals through understanding and breaking down language used in romantic relationships. Throughout couple sessions, I lean towards emotionally focused therapy, as I have witnessed its transformative effects particularly in romantic relationships. Grounded in principles of Emotion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, our couples therapist will work with both of you in a neutral, compassionate, and balanced way to try to bridge the divide that exists between you two.

Sessions will help you and your partner cut through the resentment and find a shared language that will help you see each other for your true selves. Communication will focus on expressing your needs in a safe environment and learning how to be able to meet your partner's needs with gentleness and validation.

I specialize in working with couples in crisis because of a betrayal, trauma, PTSD, addictions, and ADHD. I am a registered gestalt therapist with somatic experiencing training out of California.
