Keystone Child and Family Therapy offers specialized counseling in play therapy for children ages 2-18. Play therapy is a child-centered approach to counseling based on developmental principles, allowing a child to engage in the counselling process in their most natural form of communication: play. Play therapy is an effective form of therapy for a variety of issues including: behavioral issues, social-emotional issues, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, developmental concerns, autism, ADHD, transitional issues, divorce and separation, attachment concerns, adoption, etc. Parents are considered important partners in the process and so family therapy is also used in combination with play therapy.

We work with young children and their families to help mange challenging behaviors and regulate emotions. Our approach to working with children is to involve the parents and teach skills to improve communication. We help you and your young child work together. We offer online E-Sessions to children older than 8 years old; otherwise, we offer in-person sessions in the Duluth and Hinckley areas.
