I approach grief and loss with compassion and respect for each person's unique experience. I provide a compassionate space for persons to process their emotions, offering supportive listening and using techniques such as CBT and Mindfulness. My goal is to help clients navigate their grief, develop coping strategies, and find healing at their own pace.

The journey through grief can feel incredibly lonely. My approach is to first create a safe, compassionate space where your story and your pain can be fully heard and honored, without judgment. Together, we will gently navigate the waves of sorrow, anger, and confusion. My goal is to help you find healthy ways to carry your grief, honor the love you hold, and slowly rediscover a sense of hope and meaning, allowing you to move forward without ever forgetting.

Facing the loss of someone or something you are bonded to is one of the most challenging aspects of being human. There is truly no right or wrong way to grieve, although well-meaning family and friends tend to have many opinions and time-lines as to what is proper grieving. I assist clients with grief on their own terms and help guide them to a place of understanding and patience with their process of grieving.

Dr. Keller helps children and adults develop coping stratagies to deal with issues around grief and loss. Loss is a central theme in the development of psychological symptoms of depression and anxiety.Grief and loss issues may develop following the death of a loved one and can also be prominent after divorce and separation. Loss of health, loss of status, loss of self esteem, moves, loss of employment, are issues that can contribute to emotional pain and distress in relationships. Dr. Keller blends psychodynamic approaches wth research based cognitive behavioral interventions to assist individuals with grief and loss.

Losing someone or something you love is profoundly painful. One of the greatest myths we hear is that “time heals all wounds.” In reality, time often deepens the ache unless we give ourselves permission to grieve. Healing requires space to mourn, honor what has been lost, and gently begin to carry it in a new way. It is my privilege to walk alongside clients as they move through grief toward healing, meaning, and peace.

There are times when clients are not aware of their grief and loss issues. My approach is to bring these issues to light, educate them on the stages of grief, validate their pain and normalize their experience. When a client is given permission to grieve in a safe and supportive environment they begin to feel lighter and can embrace a new perspective.

We work through processing grief and loss through meeting people where they are at in the grief process opposed to pushing or pulling them into a place where they are not ready to go. This means that we use a compassionate approach combined with tools and strategies to support movement through the grief process and to create closure and movement forward that honors the loss.

I help men who are dealing with grief and loss, either of a loved one or the loss of a marriage or a relationship. A lot of times it's really difficult for men to get in touch with their emotions, and in grief, it's often not an exception. Men have a hard time with grief, just like women, and have a hard time experiencing loss. For guys, loss is not something that were used to, because we're often so acclimated to winning. to be a man is to win in our society, but life often has other plans. I help men struggle through the difficult experiences of grief and loss, and come out the other side.

Grief counseling helps people cope with grief and mourning following the loss of a loved one or due to major life changes that trigger feelings of grief (i.e. job loss or divorce). It provides a space for individuals to work through and process the complex emotions surrounding loss. Healthy grieving results in remembering the loss with a newfound sense of peace, rather than searing pain.
