Career counseling, although a ‘named form’ of counseling in itself, is yet quite transient. Usually once I begin working with a client who is requesting career counseling, we find that the hiccups they are experiencing in their quest is based on fear, anxiety and/or stress, health issues, sometimes addictions (or the addictions of others), anger issues, depression, or even shrapnel from their family of origin. So I do not view career counseling as a sole issue but rather a symptom. I love to work in this arena since it allows me to be a CSI agent for an hour, unlocking hidden truths that have become speed bumps along life’s journey to achieve one’s personal best.

Having worked in the finance industry for many years, I help clients remove their blocks, create clarity and help with work towards their career(dream job). My treatment involves having the client work on: financial plan that includes their goals. We go through obstacles and mental blocks; and their fears of success. Clients feel motivated, they learn how to build resources, change their negative beliefs to positive, and learn new skills to communicate effective.

I thoroughly enjoy working with young adult clients on assisting them in beginning their career journey. I also work with adult clients who are in the beginning stages of making career changes including going back to school. I know how scary "change" can be especially when it has financial implications.
