I am a professional counsellor that identifies with the Christian faith. I grew up as a pastor's kid and continue to participate in Christian communities. Although I do not offer Biblical Christian counselling as a model, People are often looking for a counsellor who understands the Christian faith and find it more comfortable opening up about certain issues when knowing the counsellor has a Christian-based background. I provide researched-based professional counselling approaches that support clients in their spiritual journey and convictions amidst life crisis and stress.

For many people, spirituality is an important part of their belief system and helps inform who they are. While I work with clients of all backgrounds, many clients specifically seek out therapists who share similar values and beliefs as them. In offering counselling to Christians, I do not impart my views or beliefs, but simply hold space for you to process your experiences and allow you to ask yourself questions you may not feel comfortable asking in other places.

As a Christian Counsellor I believe that healing ultimately comes through Christ. Using Christian Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, clients can begin to live as Christ intended them to live...free from the strongholds that keep them imprisoned. People can begin to experience freedom. Through prayer and the power of learning to tell ourselves the truth, the truth about who Christ says we are, we can have emotional freedom "through Christ who gives us strength."

While most Christian Counselors pride themselves on how many Scriptural passages they can recite and how many links they can make from the Bible to psychological disorders, the Christian-centric work of Grey Matters International, Inc.is grounded in one principle: truth. For us, the work is more about truth and transparency of Christ's message and working on the natural laws of accountability and decision making that evolves from that.
