I always first check to see if you have visited a physician to rule out thyroid or similar sources of depression. If depression results from circumstances, I use EMDR to desensitize these memories or experiences. I also use cognitive/behavioral therapy: Changing your thoughts changes your feelings which changes your behaviours. This also works in the reverse.

When struggling with depressed moods, everything feels heavy and you lack a sense of meaning and purpose. Even the most simple tasks can feel impossible. Therefore, we use a blended approach -cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy and psychodynamic therapy - with clients who present depressive symptoms. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, reframing negative thinking, understanding the client's problematic relationships that cause depression, and mindfulness.
