Anxiety arises whenever someone feels they do not have the ability to handle the situation in front of them. Anxiety can arise seemingly from nowhere, or from past negative experiences. It is both a frustrating and scary experience with accompanying physical symptoms. Anxiety can cause stress, which long term has a detrimental impact on the body. Stress can effect sleep and wake cycles, immunity, gut health, and much more. I teach self-soothing and self-regulatory skills in order to help reduce both anxiety and stress.
