As a certified International Life Coach, my approach to career counseling focuses on forward movement, and discovering together solutions to maximize one's strengths. I help my clients clarify values, which in turn, leads to uncovering their authentic selves. Knowing and owning who you are, are invaluable in discovering the best career choice and path. I utilize unique tools to unearth your own personal blueprint for your career and life. When we are young, we fall into our careers. When we mature, we choose them. I will help you to understand the ways in which your career needs have changed to fit your uniqueness.

A large component of career choice is how we view ourselves and what we feel we can accomplish. So there's a big element of identity in there. I use Positive Psychology tools to assess the individual's strengths of character and what they view as important tools for success that they already have in their arsenal. From that perspective, we also look at those character strengths that could use a little further strengthening in order to best serve the individual reach their goals. Dreaming and imagining are big pieces of this process, so we also explore those in depth. I encourage realistic dreaming and identify fears and doubts that getting the way of dreaming and accomplishing dreams.

Rising costs of gas, housing, food, insurance, and the high competition for available jobs is forcing many young people to spend their 20's still sharing their parent's home. I help non-college bound teens combine their life experience with their passion to develop a vision of a career they would enjoy. I help young adults who are considering returning to college brainstorm about next steps and develop an action plan.
