My work as a career counsellor goes again to the root of issues with work. There is a soul level to the work we choose, a vocational element to it ("vocation" meaning a calling from the work—where the work actually chooses you rather than you choosing the work.) There can be a lot of pressure to figure out one’s career or to decide where one fits within a particular field. Oftentimes this is a winding road rather than a straight route. Within therapy, I will support you in identifying and exploring the values, goals, interests, and passions most important to you so that you can make decisions about your career that feel right to you. I will also work with you to process possible obstacles along the way such as (and certainly not limited to) challenging work dynamics, stress and burnout, and difficulties finding a work/life balance.
