Welcome to Creative Counselling Thunder Bay (Formerly Stepping Stones Consulting), Thunder Bay's first and only Expressive Arts Therapy service. I am a registered Masters Social Worker with a level 2 certificate in Expressive Art Therapy. I am from Thunder Bay and completed both my undergrad and graduate degrees at Lakehead University. I completed my certificate in Expressive Art Therapy through Prairie Institute of Expressive Art Therapy in Calgary, AB. In 2017 I was certified in EMDR therapy and most recently also became a child specialist in EMDR for kids and teens.

I provide a warm, relaxing, private environment where you can come and access counselling without a lengthy wait list. I have worked in the social work field for 16 years. My experience is in additions both in residential and outpatient counselling, trauma, metal health, violence, grief and loss, anxiety and depression. For the last 2 years I worked in children' mental health providing parenting support and counselling to children with mental health concerns, trauma and loss. I am a trained facilitator for the Circle of Security Parenting Program, an international certification out of the United States.

When you or someone you care about chooses Creative Counselling Thunder Bay, you can expect to have a telephone intake with some details in regards to what you are looking for in counselling. When you arrive at my office you will  have the opportunity to explore a variety of different tools that make up expressive arts. These include, art, movement, storytelling, dance, drama and music. There is an option for everyone in expressive arts.

I provide individual counselling and family counselling. I also offer to come in to community groups and organizations and offer expressive arts services. Stepping Stones is also unique in that I am the only company in Northwestern ON, that offers retreats and workshops in expressive arts that may be covered on your benefit plan. Both individual counselling and family counselling may be billed through your extended health benefits. Creative Counselling is also registered with First Nations Inuit Health Branch (FNIHB), also referred to as medical services, to persons that hold a status card.  I am also registered with Victim Quick Response Services (VQRP) for persons that are victims and received funding for counselling, I am a provider who can offer a unique way to heal through expressive arts.
