As a clinician with over 10 years of experience, I have gained an advanced understanding and training in many mental and emotional struggles. I have treated individuals with a balance of acceptance and challenge throughout my career and continue to be a student of the art of counseling.
I have my Master’s Degree and Doctoral Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Counselor Education, which has allowed me to be exposed to learn the most evidenced-based practices as a clinician.
My passion for living a mindful life began with my own awareness that I was, in fact, NOT living in a mindful way. My journey into my self and my own understanding led me to an overwhelming desire to share what I have learned. As part of my own conscious healing, I found greater joy in life, greater awareness of my emotions and thoughts, as well as deeper and more connected relationships. I look forward to sharing my journey and walking along the path with you on yours.
In working with me, you will have a say in your own treatment goals and planning. One of the improvements you can expect in working with me is an increased ability for mindfulness. Mindfulness
practices can help us to increase our ability to focus our attention on our
thoughts and feelings without judgment. It allows for us to regulate intense
emotions, decrease stress, anxiety and depression and improve our
relationships, and be more fully engaged in our own lives.

By participating in therapy, you can also gain more self-awareness of you emotions, your thoughts and your actions or behavior patterns. Self-awareness
involves learning to better understand why we feel what we feel and why we do
what we do. With this better understanding of ourselves, we are able to
experience ourselves through the lens of self-acceptance, as unique and
empowered individuals. This leads to an increased ability to make changes in
our lives, clarify our own unique needs, and acknowledging what we still have
to learn. True consciousness begins with self-awareness!
