What kind of therapist am I?
- Candid, direct, assertive, compassionate
- Responsibility, accountability, and growth
- Results, results, results. I want you to feel better ASAP.
- I love my job. I'm passionate about what I do, and I take it seriously.
⠀
My approach to marriage therapy:
- All sessions involve both partners.
- I'll talk to you about you. I won't talk to you about your partner.
- The focus is on growth, change, courage, and kindness. This is not easy work.
- There is no assigning of blame or determining who is at fault
- We talk about the future, not the past. The future is the thing we can change.
- I don't allow couples to argue in session.
- Every second counts — we are here to make things better.
- You can only change yourself, not your partner.
- You have more power than you think you do.
- I want you to leave every session inspired, challenged, and reassured.
- Rebuilding love is hard, but it's not impossible.
⠀
What is Differentiation Counseling?
- Differentiation is the ability to hold onto yourself in tough situations (like marriage)
- Differentiation the key to creating thriving relationships at work and at home
- Differentiation is what separates adults from children
- Differentiation is the only way to create a happy marriage
⠀
My wish for the couples I work with:
- You will become more capable of love.
- You will leave every session feeling challenged and inspired
- You will know exactly what you can do to strengthen your marriage
- You will become a better lover.
- You will have a clear understanding of what is in your control, and what is not in your control
- You will learn to feel safe in your home and in your marriage.
- Make marriage fun again!
