My name is Morgan Beaudry and I am a Registered Professional Counsellor - Candidate and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor - Candidate with Canadian Professional Counsellors Association and Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada respectively. As an RPC-C and RTC-C, I provide compassionate, ethical, objective talk-therapy to people who want to make lasting, meaningful changes that will positive influence their day-to-day lives. I am also a CMHA-certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor and I am certified in Mental Health First Aid.

I am LGBTQ2S-friendly, pro choice, and inclusive of people of all faiths - or no faith.

I work under the supervision of a master counsellor with CPCA who has a PhD and is a respected teacher, mentor, and coach. I mainly work with clients who want support with:
  • Relationships (including dating)
  • Managing Stress
  • Life Transitions
  • Grief and Bereavement (including the loss of employment, the loss of companion animals, and other losses)
  • Workplace Stress
  • Workplace Trauma
  • Post-collision Trauma

Benefits of counselling could include:
  • Increased confidence
  • Increased self awareness
  • Increased empathy for yourself and others
  • Greater insight into personal and professional challenges
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Feeling comfortable with yourself
  • Feeling empowered and capable
I charge $120 per 50 minute session, and I session are by phone or via videocall platforms. Payment must be made at the time of the appointment, and I charge 50% of the session fee for missed appointment or late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice). If you have workplace benefits, your provider might cover all or part of the costs of counselling. I will issue you a receipt to give your provider but I cannot guarantee you will be reimbursed.

Background about me:
Prior to becoming a counsellor, I worked in a diverse range of professions. I studied communications at Red River College in Winnipeg and worked for many newspapers and magazines as a writer, editor, and as a photographer and photo editor in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. I later taught journalism and photography theory at First Nations University of Canada, and was a sessional instructor and teaching assistant at The University of Regina.

Because much of my journalism career focused on police and the courts, specifically crime, trauma, and fatal collisions, I became passionate about social justice and mental health.

I was working truckers and had just earned my CDL when I began graduate studies at Royal Roads University. Truckers themselves gave me the idea to explore mental health issues in the trucking profession as my graduate thesis. This research earned me the recognition of distinction when I graduated with my MA. I have lived in Langford B.C. since September 2020. I am married, have a lot of cats, and find a lot of joy in knitting, spinning, and e-biking on local trails such as the Galloping Goose.
