Victoria is an island city, located on the south tip of Vancouver Island in the province of British Columbia. In the 1700’s, this island was initially inhabited by the European settlers as a result of the voyage of Captain James Cook.  The area and island quickly became a trading post for the Hudson’s Bay Company and in the late 1800’s was named Fort Victoria after the Queen of England.  With the gold rush in Vancouver, B.C., Victoria quickly grew as a port for the transfer of this precious metal.  Grief counselling Victoria BC and family psychotherapy is an important component of sound mental health of residents and families who live on this beautiful island.
