Allison Bates, MA, RCC
Depression is one of the most common mental health concerns today. Depression can take away your interest in life, make it difficult to get out of bed and can cause a cloud over your life. It is a difficult step to make the call to come for counselling, but the benefits can be great. With cognitive behavioral therapy, you can learn to control the thoughts that are contributing to your depression and give you the power over your depression. At West Coast Counselling, we take the time to understand you and your concerns and work with you to achieve your goals. Don't let depression take control of you.
Doug Hilton, RCC
I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to heal unresolved emotional wounds from the past that have led a person to swallow his or her anger and have it turn into depression. I use Universal Healing Tao Chi Kung active meditations to teach people how to dissolve the depression and use that energy to create more virtuous feelings inside themselves. Through self-hypnosis training I show people how to train the less conscious parts of their minds to search for positive outcomes and desired results in their lives without ending up in a power struggle with their own habits of negative or self-defeating thoughts.
Sandeep Nagra, M.A., CCC
Many people suffer from depression. Sometimes we feel alone, but you are not. I am here to help you. I use a unique approach to help you efectively cope with depression. I use Cognitive Behaviour therapy where we will explore your thoughts, behaviour and how they impact your emotions. I use homework assignments that you do outside of the counselling session so that you leave with skills that can be applied to your life outside of the office.
Natalie Hansen, M.A., RCC
