As a psychologist I am primarily a humanistic/client centered therapist who uses CBT and systems theory and who has gained additional skills in a number of specialized therapeutic areas to effectively treat a wide variety of individual, couple and family issues. I have specialized training in hypnosis, EMDR, sex therapy and couple therapy as well as domestic violence/anger management issues.

My approach to counselling is grounded in my faith that people are intrinsically worthy, are able to make sound decisions, have successful relationships, and create the life they want. I integrate a variety of treatment methods into therapy including cognitive behavioral, humanistic, family of origin, and systems therapy. I focus on people's strenghts, and encourage people to trust themselves. As a registered psychologist I am recognized by most insurance companies.

I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I provided mainly individual counselling to adults. In 2020, I earned a Master of Education degree in the Counselling Psychology program at the University of Alberta. I am presently a Ph.D. candidate in the accredited Counselling Psychology program at the University of Alberta, and I'm completing a portion of my residency at Mindspring under the supervision of Dr. Jake Tremblay, R. Psych. Before becoming a Registered Psychologist, I worked as a teacher with Edmonton Public Schools. I was born and raised in Edmonton.
