It is one thing to embark on a new career path, and a whole other to find the sweet spot of purpose, contribution, vitality and practical stability that leads to a really fulfilling vocation. The latter requires the courage to allow, shape and stay with a vision and the skills to navigate the inevitable peaks and valleys in confidence that are natural to the process. It is necessary to develop the ability to structure your own time toward your goal, maintaining the stability necessary to take new opportunities and creative risks. I offer coaching for those motivated to move into this place.

And yet, there can also be stifling logistical constraints, a lack of opportunities, and precarious markets. I want to help you find a place where you feel accomplished, confident, valuable, and satisfied—but I know that is easier said than done. I can help you experiment, cope, succeed, and find a path that feels right. I work particularly well with students, young professionals, and graduate students.

I am a certified Birkman Method professional. The Birkman is an internationally-recognized test that helps to identify your needs, your patterns of negative behaviour, and your way forward in life. By using the Birkman, I can help you develop your own user manual and roadmap for your life, relationships, and career. The Birkman is a powerful tool that can help you discover what will really feed you in your work and relationships.

Career counselling may involve exploring career direction and it may also involve dealing with issues that occur in one's working life, such as those in the workplace. When exploring a career path, the client's whole self needs to be taken into consideration, including one's history and dreams (waking and sleeping.) Of particular importance is one's "inner voice" which may be calling one in a particular direction. Work situations often open up old wounds and therefore often provide an opportunity for healing and transformation.

Career counseling is an essential tool for those navigating career transitions or planning during a challenging time. Through my 20 years of therapeutic mental health experience, I have worked with many clients to explore career options, set goals, and develop action plans tailored to their strengths and values. During periods of uncertainty, such as transitions or career shifts, the stress and confusion can impact mental health. Through open discussion, exploration of interests, and goal-setting, I help clients manage the emotional challenges of career planning while improving their mental well-being and fostering a sense of direction and purpose.
