Maybe as a child you dreamed about having a great life of abundance and achieve greatness. At that age, you were a winner and you would stand up and defend your dreams against any challenges. Unfortunately, lots of people may lose some of that winning spirit growing up and the champion in you may have slowly dimed. Maybe you do set goals and you do have an idea of what your purpose and direction in life is. This simply is not enough for you to experience the abundance in life that you deserve. You have all the potential to radically make a difference! It is already deep inside of you and waiting to be used. Together, we will work toward using that amazing potential.

I work with clients wanting to find new meaning and purpose in their work and life path. It is one thing to embark on a new career path, and a whole other to find the sweet spot of purpose, contribution, vitality and practical stability that leads to a really fulfilling vocation. The latter requires the courage to allow, shape and stay with a vision and the skills to navigate the inevitable peaks and valleys in confidence that are natural to the process. It is necessary to develop the ability to structure your own time toward your goal, maintaining the stability necessary to take new opportunities and creative risks. I offer coaching for those wanting to move into this place.

Career counselling has progressed away from computer generated test scores and more along the lines of inquiry to individual likes and tendencies. This is the approach I adopt. Together we complete a Career Development Workbook, uncovering inclinations and passions using talking and connection to self and others as our tools. Once up to 3 career choices have been made, a referral to Workplace BC is often helpful for the next steps in market and career research for your choices.

We know that choosing a career can be a daunting task, and the process of exploring and planning your future career can take some time. In order to assist students through this process, I offer a variety of careers focused on personality, talent, degree and dedication. I did a lot of information research on this and I matched successfully. Many of my previous clients were happy for my advice. I serve my clients to get a good solution. I also discuss my clients' career questions to experts in the field. I offer resources to assist to get a better future.

My approach to career counselling is relational, practical, and attuned to each client’s unique story. I blend thoughtful, strengths-based exploration with gentle guidance that helps people clarify what energizes them, what environments help them thrive, and what patterns may be holding them back. Clients benefit from a supportive space where they can be honest about their uncertainties, experiment with new possibilities, and craft clear, actionable steps. Together, we build a path forward that aligns with your values, personality, and evolving sense of identity—so work feels not only sustainable, but meaningful.

For some, a career is a large part of one's identity. For others, it is simply a means to an end or a small part of a bigger picture. I approach career counselling by helping you discover and explore what a career and any related decisions mean for you. By doing this, I hope to help you uncover insight and clarity towards career choices and transitions.

Career counseling, although a ‘named form’ of counseling in itself, is yet quite transient. Usually once I begin working with a client who is requesting career counseling, we find that the hiccups they are experiencing in their quest is based on fear, anxiety and/or stress, health issues, sometimes addictions (or the addictions of others), anger issues, depression, or even shrapnel from their family of origin. So I do not view career counseling as a sole issue but rather a symptom. I love to work in this arena since it allows me to be a CSI agent for an hour, unlocking hidden truths that have become speed bumps along life’s journey to achieve one’s personal best.

I thoroughly enjoy working with young adult clients on assisting them in beginning their career journey. I also work with adult clients who are in the beginning stages of making career changes including going back to school. I know how scary "change" can be especially when it has financial implications. Career Counselling with me begins with developing rapport and relationships. We move at a pace you are comfortable with and examine the variables involved in decision-making. I support clients throughout the change process.

As a counsellor and coach, I can help you to: • Take stock of your training and work/life experience up until now • Tap into your dreams for your work-life • Look realistically at your strengths and weaknesses, the opportunities and limitations in your present situation • Create a realistic plan of action, which might include: further consideration of what came up in session, gathering resources, information interviewing (I can teach you how if it’s new), and taking concrete steps toward your goals Studies have shown that being accountable to someone like a coach, increases success.

I truly believe that choosing one single career path can be one of the more difficult decisions we have to make in life. At times it may feel like there is immense societal and cultural pressure to choose a specific career path, but at the end of the day, I am curious to explore what it is you value, free from outside judgements. Different people prioritize different factors when choosing a career, and it is important for me to help identify what your priorities are. From there we can brainstorm potential avenues and build motivation to help bring those thoughts into reality. It is often action that creates motivation, not the other way around.

While most career counselors love to give you capacity based profiles of what your talents and interests are for your best bet career choices, Grey Matters international believes that most people make predictably irrational decisions and then after making them learn way to make them fit into their identities using various types of rationalizations and strategies.
