Career counselling is an integral part of life experiences. With the rapid change in technology and other societal advancements, people are changing careers more now than ever. As a result, helping a person transition from one career to another is important for some individuals. There are many factors to consider when providing counsel in making career changes. Decisions must take into consideration a client's home life responsibilities, culture, age, personality style, preferences, demographics and financial responsibilities. I am a certified Birkman Method professional. The Birkman is an internationally-recognized test that helps to identify your needs, your patterns of negative behaviour, and your way forward in life. I did a lot of information research on this and I matched successfully. Many of my previous clients were happy for my advice. I serve my clients to get a good solution. I also discuss my clients' career questions to experts in the field. I offer resources to assist to get a better future.

Not only will I help you identify your skill set, but help you identify your passion, your purpose and your personality type that will help you see what career is best suited to you. I can also help you identify and develop areas that will help you expand your interviewing skills, your social media profile, your resume and your confidence and also understand the hiring climate that you are in.

I thoroughly enjoy working with young adult clients on assisting them in beginning their career journey. I also work with adult clients who are in the beginning stages of making career changes including going back to school. I know how scary "change" can be especially when it has financial implications. Career Counselling with me begins with developing rapport and relationships. We move at a pace you are comfortable with and examine the variables involved in decision-making. I support clients throughout the change process.

For some, a career is a large part of one's identity. For others, it is simply a means to an end or a small part of a bigger picture. I approach career counselling by helping you discover and explore what a career and any related decisions mean for you. By doing this, I hope to help you uncover insight and clarity towards career choices and transitions.

Career counseling, although a ‘named form’ of counseling in itself, is yet quite transient. Usually once I begin working with a client who is requesting career counseling, we find that the hiccups they are experiencing in their quest is based on fear, anxiety and/or stress, health issues, sometimes addictions (or the addictions of others), anger issues, depression, or even shrapnel from their family of origin. So I do not view career counseling as a sole issue but rather a symptom. I love to work in this arena since it allows me to be a CSI agent for an hour, unlocking hidden truths that have become speed bumps along life’s journey to achieve one’s personal best.
