Prior to becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist, I worked at IBM for 14 years. IBM started downsizing and I was faced with the decision of having to move out of state in order to keep my job with IBM. I chose to stay and pursue my passion to become a therapist, but it required going to school for 6 years while working full time. We spend the majority of our time at the workplace and so when we love our job, we have a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment. When we either don't have one or don’t love the one we have, we struggle greatly. My approach to career counseling is simple. Let's figure out what factors are important to you in life. Coaching sessions are specific to each individual and specific goals. It is standard for therapists to discuss the primary issues and concerns in your life during coaching sessions. It is common to schedule a series of weekly sessions, where each session lasts about fifty minutes. Coaching can be short-term, focusing on a specific issue, or can be longer-term, addressing more complex issues.

I have a specific degree (Masters Degree MA) in career and academic counseling. I have worked with undergraduate and graduate students on many college campuses over the years teaching and counseling in the area of career and work related topics. I have assisted in Womens Reentry, job placement, resume writing, interview techniques, and have taught and assisted clients to discover their true potential.
