Each year in San Bernardino County, thousands of people are admitted to alcohol and drug treatment programs. In recent years, the percentage of people in addictions treatment in the county has outpaced the state average.2 While those getting treatment are far more likely to get their lives back together, many people do not seek treatment. As a result, many families in the county continue to struggle with issues related to a loved one's chemical dependency, such as emotional difficulties, financial problems and job loss.
