A lot of life satisfaction correlates to job satisfaction, so staying in a job you hate can create a lot of angst, stress and frustration. In todays job market there are many challenges people face: actually getting an interview, putting a resume together, networking, and performing well in the interview when you do get one. Before you do any of that, you need to figure out what you actually want to do, what you like, what you are good at, and what is a good fit for you. In career counselling, I support clients in exploring direction, purpose, and alignment between their values and professional life. This process often includes identifying strengths, interests, and barriers that may be influencing decision-making. Clients are encouraged to reflect on what feels meaningful and sustainable rather than purely external expectations.
