I believe that grief finds its own way and that there is no wrong way to do it. We all experience loss and pain n our lives--this is not something that must be fixed. I will hold a space for your pain and reassure you that your grief is often the measure of your love. Expressing your pain, sorrow, guilt, and fear can help sort through some of the complicated emotions that often accompany grief. Together we will help grief find its way.

Kindred Hope Wellness team's approach is to support you, acknowledging that grief & loss change and shift through a lifelong journey. You will benefit from mindful support from a self-compassion perspective. Our team is here to listen, support and guide you as you experience the sadness and many other emotions from your grief. Each person experiences and processes grief differently, so we will take each step as you need it as you know yourself best.

If you are dealing with the loss of a loved one, whether it be from death, divorce, or other circumstances, you are on a very painful journey, one that takes some time to traverse and is not easy. It can be helpful to have someone like myself walk with you on that journey and honour your feelings of loss and sadness and, when you are ready, to help pick up the pieces and continue to live a productive and satisfying life. That does not mean you leave the past behind but that you find a way of integrating a new life with the old. Reaching out is a sign of courage and strength.

Many people have ideas about how grief should look or feel based on expectations from family, society, or the media. There are so many experiences and events that deserve be mourned, whether society recognizes them or not, and your feelings about the loss are valid. Your experience of grief is unique to you and there is no correct way to process your loss, which is why I work collaboratively with clients to explore meaning in the thoughts and feelings that emerge as you begin your healing journey. Grief and loss is a normal and appropriate response to the loss of a loved one, past trauma, the loss of a nurturing and loving childhood, deployment/unemployment as well as many other unwanted circumstances. Giving yourself the time and compassion to move through this necessary process allows you to emerge with a renewed sense of hope and empowerment to move into a new and empowered life.

Going through grief and loss, especially about a loved one, is an extremely difficult process - no one should go through it alone. Healthy grieving is about the ability to to move on without forgeting the one whom you have lost.
