Lauralea started early in her career as a Child and Youth Worker (CYW), helping children and teens with emotional and behavioural problems as well as parents facing challenging behavior from their children to better manage. Lauralea went on to get a Bachelor of Social Work degree (BSW) from Ryerson University and a Masters of Social Work degree (MSW) from the University of Toronto specializing in clinical counselling with individuals, couples and groups.
Lauralea has consistently received positive feedback from her clients regarding the help and support she has offered that helped to create positive change in their lives. She provides confidential counselling in a comfortable, warm and inviting space and has flexible day and evening appointment times.
She is a Registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Fees are $100.00 per hour long session and there is a sliding fee scale available for students and those on a fixed or limited income or if the person does not have insurance.Payment can be made by cash, cheque, bank e-transfer, Pay Pal, Visa and MasterCard. Registered Social Workers are covered under many health insurance plans as well as Employee Assistance Plans. Registered Social Work services can also be claimed as a medical expense tax deduction when you file your income tax return. Check with you insurance provider about your coverage.
