You can access services soon when you need it most without having to be placed on a lengthy Wait List.  Counselling is provided to parents in order to help them resolve parenting issues or to learn how to support their child’s or family’s issues.  This can be done by meeting alone or with yourself and your partner/spouse. I provide individual child counselling sessions or can meet jointly with you and your child together to build a stronger connection. Treatment can be short or long term and customized to meet your family’s changing needs/issues. Sessions can be weekly or bi-weekly. Once you feel things are going better you can opt to have follow up or booster sessions to sustain the progress you or your child has made. This may include having “check in” sessions once a month. Private services through this office allows you increased privacy and confidentiality in your community. Private services are more flexible because you do not have to “return to a Wait List” to access services in the future, or if circumstances change for your family.
I am an NIHB Provider (Non-Insured Health Benefits for status aboriginal persons), and a Victim Services Provider. Your extended health care coverage or EAP may also qualify for coverage of my services.
