Introduction:

Hello! Nice to see you here - welcome to my space, I am glad you stopped by. My name is Tulsi, and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist providing in-person (Etobicoke, ON) and online therapy across the province.

A little about me? I was born and brought up in Nairobi, Kenya and grew up in a typical Gujarati household. Hearing this, one would wonder what my life must have been like – and so let me tell you, it had its fair share of ups and downs. Despite the challenging downs, I always found a way to appreciate the ups and learn from the lows. After moving to Canada at the age of 18, I realized how important it was for me to look after my physical, mental and social self; as an international student, away from family and friends. I have come a long way in understanding the struggles that isolation, anxiety and stress can bring, and have since become very passionate about supporting anyone that’s struggling with similar challenges. From then to now, singing and music have been my best friends, comfort food and I get along very well, and spending time with myself reading, learning and knitting brings me joy.

I believe that the beauty of life is in its ups and downs, however, there are times in our journey when life comes with challenges that may feel overwhelming or unmanageable. Within my practice, I value a space that allows individuals and couples the opportunity to unpack feelings of stress and emotional distress while identifying effective ways to cope. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative therapeutic space where individuals feel heard and hopeful. My work includes validating emotions, identifying, and highlighting strengths and collaboratively working on goals toward change and growth.

Please see below to learn about my practice, and feel free to contact me with any further questions you may have. I also offer a free 20-minute phone or video consultation to help us get a better understanding of your goals. I look forward to connecting with you and answering your questions.
