Faith’s Lodge supports parents and families coping with the death of medically complex condition of a child in a peaceful environment to reflect on the past, renew strength for the present, and build hope for the future. They help families through their darkest hours by creating a nurturing setting together with other parents who are coping with the same struggles. Set apart from daily life and surrounded by the calming North woods of Wisconsin, families at Faith’s Lodge are supported in an emotionally safe environment. The lodge accommodates up to eight families at a time and operates year-round serving either couples or families on designated dates. After 11 years, Faith’s Lodge is still the only dedicated retreat facility of its kind in the country. Faith’s Lodge has served over 9,000 people from 40 different states. The South Dakota Network Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault is a state-level non-profit agency comprised of caring people dealing with the concerns of domestic violence and sexual assault victims. Our member programs employ and support individuals of all racial, social, religious and economic groups, ages, abilities, and lifestyles. Rural, urban and tribal areas are proudly represented. The Network believes that the abuse of power in society fosters domestic violence, rape, gender inequality, racism, and poverty by perpetuating conditions in which certain groups benefit from the domination of others.
We believe that domestic violence results from the use of force or threat to achieve and maintain control over others in intimate relationships. The Network opposes the use of violence as a means of control over others and supports equality in relationships.
All of our programs and services are rooted firmly in the belief that people victimized by crime have the right to assume power over their own lives by making informed choices regarding their empowerment journey. The Network is dedicated to the empowerment of those victimized by domestic or sexual violence.
Therefore, we are passionate about eliminating personal and societal violence and welcome the help of all people as allies. We believe in a world free of violence and we are committed to turning this dream into a reality. The Network envisions a world free of violence. We are committed to making this dream a reality by diligently working in collaboration with other community allies to advance prevention endeavors and improve response efforts across our state. Claire’s Place Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing support to
children and families affected by cystic fibrosis (CF). Claire’s Place Foundation is named in
honor of Claire Wineland who lived with CF her entire life and passed away at the age of
21. Claire was an activist, author, TEDx Speaker, social media star and received numerous
awards. Claire’s foundation was a way for her to assure that others living with CF enjoyed the
same hope, strength and joy that she enjoyed. Recipient of Los Angeles Business Journal’s
“Small Nonprofit of the Year,” the foundation provides grants to families affected by CF,
offering both emotional and financial support. Today, Claire’s Place Foundation continues to
