Specializations

In addition to helping people with depression, self-esteem problems, and relationship issues, I also specialize in the following areas (click to learn more):

How I Can Help

I ensure that you feel safe and can speak freely about thoughts, feelings, and longstanding issues or conflicts that you may have difficulty talking about with others or your partner. The first step is often helping you to make sense of your experience which naturally allows for new discoveries and insights into yourself, the relationship between you and your partner, and your family history. Together we can then determine how to bring about and create the most effective change in yourself, your relationships, and your life. I will bring my insights into the cause of your issues, my knowledge of the human experience, and my skills for facilitating change.

My Approach

You’ll find that I listen closely to your goals, ideas, and helping preferences in order to provide you with the kind of support you need. I also incorporate a holistic approach that addresses the links between the mental, physical, social, and spiritual parts of your life. This usually involves exploring new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating that can improve your mental health and relationships. You'll also gain new skills and tools that you can apply elsewhere in your life.

My Background

I was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario and completed my B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Guelph. I spent five years in Victoria, BC and completed my Masters in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle. Over the past 10 years I've had the privilege of supporting people from all walks of life including those who have struggled with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship conflict, self-esteem and personal growth. Today, I devote my full time to counselling practice at MyLife Counselling in Guelph and am driven by a strong desire to enhance the lives of the people I work with.

My Location

My office is conveniently located at the Guelph Counselling Centre in downtown Guelph. The Guelph Counselling Centre provides a relaxing and quiet environment specially designed to maintain your privacy and comfort. Our offices are specially sound proofed and used exclusively for counselling purposes.
