Career counselling helps you get in touch with what you value in a career and how you can choose a career or transition between careers in a way that is in line with your authentic self.

There may be personality factors involved or there may be another route waiting for you to explore. We will assess your situation to see where you may be getting stuck and where your heart is in relation to your work. This may involve accessing intuition, as well as the facts of the matter. With dual training as a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant, I specialize in helping individuals navigate emotional barriers and re-engage in meaningful life activities, including a successful return to work. I have supported numerous clients in making informed decisions and navigating career transitions using standardized assessments and comprehensive information gathering—empowering them to achieve success and fulfillment in their employment journeys.

I truly believe that choosing one single career path can be one of the more difficult decisions we have to make in life. At times it may feel like there is immense societal and cultural pressure to choose a specific career path, but at the end of the day, I am curious to explore what it is you value, free from outside judgements. Different people prioritize different factors when choosing a career, and it is important for me to help identify what your priorities are. From there we can brainstorm potential avenues and build motivation to help bring those thoughts into reality. It is often action that creates motivation, not the other way around.

At some point, the ladder you've been climbing starts to feel like it might be leaning against the wrong wall. Not always. But sometimes. Career and life transitions counselling isn't really about resumes or five year plans. It's about figuring out whether the life you've built still fits the person you're becoming. You might feel restless without a clear reason, or successful by most measures but quietly unsatisfied. That's a bigger question than it looks. We work through values, direction, and what you're actually willing to trade. Most clients find the career question was never really about the career.

Our struggle with finding a fulfilling and practical career in our lives is often related to how we feel about ourselves. Our self-esteem is connected to our roles in life, career being a central role. Our self-worth is connected to how we value ourselves simply because we exist. We need to find a balance between self-esteem and self-worth in order to make the big choices in life like our career. In my practice we work from the ground up where the client explores who they are, how they have adapted to please others, and what they want for themselves in life. We pair that deeper work with practical ways clients can find a career that matches who they are from a grounded and confident place.
