Psychotherapy is the use of psychological methods to help a person change behavior and overcome problems in a positive manner. Its aim is to help people understand the thoughts behind feeling anxious or depressed and addressing these thinking patterns. Psychotherapy will help you change behaviors and habits that are limiting you, to experiencing your fullest potential.

There are many approaches to psychotherapy; each has strengths and weaknesses. I believe in individualizing my approach to suit clients' needs and issues. Theories that influence how I view clients and problems include humanistic, psychodynamic, relational, eco-systems, attachment and narrative. Some of the approaches I draw from include somatic experiencing, cognitive behavioural therapy, and response-based practice. Underlying it all is a holistic, client-centred, and strengths-based value system. My goal is to collaborate with clients to develop the internal and external resources they need to face, overcome and learn from their challenges so they can find happiness and fulfilment.
