Carson, California is an ideal place for families. A suburb of Greater Los Angeles, Carson is close to a variety of California's most popular attractions, such as Hollywood, Disneyland, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Hermosa Beach. Carson offers families a short drive from everything the big city has to offer, while still enjoying the pleasantries of living in a smaller area. There is, of course, plenty to do within the town itself. Families enjoy spending time at PFC James Anderson Park, located directly off University Drive. Carson also has three public swimming pools to splash and play in on those warm summer days. The Parks and Recreation Department holds a variety of camps in many of the city's parks throughout the summer.1 With pleasant weather most of the year, families will be able to enjoy all twelve of the city's parks. Once September arrives, children can attend fantastic schools, such as Carson Senior High, Andrew Carnegie Middle, Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo High, Ralph Bunch Elementary, and the California Academy of Mathematics and Science.
