Entering the world of work or higher education, changing careers, or being uncertain of the direction you want to take in the world of work are things that can be addressed with counselling. I take a narrative therapy approach to supporting people on this issue, and clients can expect to gain insight into their education and employment goals, how their personal values and intentions fit or don't fit with their current employment/educational path, and to gain clarity on next steps.

There can be a lot of pressure to figure out one’s career or to decide where one fits within a particular field. Oftentimes this is a winding road rather than a straight route. Within therapy, I will support you in identifying and exploring the values, goals, interests, and passions most important to you so that you can make decisions about your career that feel right to you. I will also work with you to process possible obstacles along the way such as (and certainly not limited to) challenging work dynamics, stress and burnout, and difficulties finding a work/life balance.
