My approach to career counselling aims to empower individuals to make informed decisions about their careers, maximize their potential, and achieve personal and professional success and satisfaction. It involves exploring and evaluating factors such as interests, skills, values, personality traits, and life circumstances to help clients align their career goals with their personal and professional aspirations. It is a collaborative and client-centered process that considers the individual's unique circumstances, preferences, and goals for their future.

Being a trained Life Coach, I help clients identify their dreams, bent and natural gifts, so they can build careers which utilize their skill set. From there, I help them set SMART goals – i.e. Simple, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic & Time-focused – broken down into smaller goals, so they never get discouraged, plus they get to witness and celebrate their progress every step of the way. I believe in walking alongside the client in their journey to complete what they set out to do, tackling obstacles as they come – shyness, communication issues, confidence, etc. – so nothing will stop them!

Career challenges often bring stress, self-doubt, and confusion about direction or purpose. In my work, I offer a supportive space where clients can explore their strengths, values, and meaning in relation to work. Using a trauma-informed, Gestalt and somatic approach, we pay attention to practical goals and emotional experiences, including fears, blocks, and inner conflicts. I help clients clarify priorities, build confidence, and recognize patterns that may affect career decisions. Together, we develop realistic steps aligned with their authentic self. Through this process, clients often gain clarity, motivation, and a stronger sense of direction and professional fulfillment.

My approach to helping clients in the area of work and career often relates to interpersonal problems in employment settings, difficulties managing work-life balance, and questions surrounding changing careers. Often clients come in with concerns around how to make changes to their employment situation, and they have various anxieties surrounding the risk that comes with making these life changes. In treatment, I help clients address their anxieties and fears, and we work together to seek solutions.

Using proven assessment tools such as Myers Briggs Type Indicator Inventory and Strong Interest Inventory, I can assess your interests and personality preferences that will help you discover possible career choices.
