Working with couples is my passion. I first seek to understand the history of the relationship problem. Then move to create positive changes in the relationship. Creating a safe place to explore the often complex issues that arises for couples is primary to creating positive change. All issues are addressed including Communication, Intimacy, Sex, Companionship, Families of Origin, Parenting and Problem Solving.

Over the course of your relationship, you are going to face its ups and downs. Family Systems theory is primarily focused on three areas. These are individuals, couples, and families (including children). Couples therapy focuses exclusively on the couple's dyad. This connection is affected by many factors: Past childhood experiences of family life, current parenting and grandparenting, blended families after a divorce, intimacy, sexuality, employment stress, financial obligations, and supporting your parents even when you are an adult. This list, though not exhaustive, points to the complexity of couplehood. Relationships can be hard but they do not have to be. Our couple's therapists work with the couples to identify problem areas, debunk, assumptions, and learn how to effectively communicate. Your therapist will help you to express your feelings in a respectively way, discuss issues, and resolve conflicts that are occurring. Couple's therapy aims to increase respect, affection, understanding, and intimacy between you and your partner. Our therapists stay neutral and focus on the couple as a unit rather than individually someone being "right" and someone being "wrong".

Sessions will help you and your partner cut through the resentment and find a shared language that will help you see each other for your true selves. Communication will focus on expressing your needs in a safe environment and learning how to be able to meet your partner's needs with gentleness and validation.
